Refund policy
Return & Refund Policy (includes Warranty & Cancellations)
Effective date: January 1, 2025
Scope
This policy applies to purchases made directly from KANE Forged via our website. Nothing in this policy limits your non‑waivable rights under Ontario law. Disclosures for online contracts must be clear, comprehensible and prominent.
A) What’s returnable
-
In‑stock items (not mounted/balanced): Return or exchange within 14 calendar days of delivery. Items must be unused, unmounted, unbalanced, in original packaging with all hardware.
-
Made‑to‑Order (MTO) & Custom finishes: Final sale once production begins (no returns/exchanges/cancellations).
-
Mounted/used items: No returns once a tire has been mounted, a wheel balanced, or hardware installed.
-
Clearance/open‑box/wholesale: Final sale.
B) Fees & shipping on returns (in‑stock only)
-
Restocking: 20% on accepted returns to cover inspection/repackaging/handling.
-
Shipping: Customer pays return shipping to KANE Forged on all returns. If we provide a label, its cost is deducted from the refund.
-
Deductions may apply for missing/damaged packaging or hardware.
C) RMA required
-
Submit a request via our Contact page within the applicable window (include order #, photos, and reason).
-
We’ll issue an RMA with instructions.
-
Ship the item(s) within 10 days of RMA issuance. Items returned without an RMA or past the deadline may be refused.
D) Shipping damage or wrong item
-
Inspect packages at delivery. Report visible damage to the carrier when possible and notify us via the Contact page within 2 business days with photos of the box, labels, and part. Carrier timelines are strict; late claims may be denied.
-
Return shipping to us for inspection/replacement is the customer’s responsibility. If a wrong item was shipped, we’ll exchange after receiving and inspecting the return.
E) Defects on arrival (DOA)
-
Notify us within 14 days of delivery with photos/video. If inspection confirms a defect/non‑conformity, we’ll repair or replace at our option. Return shipping to us is the customer’s responsibility; replacement ships back by standard ground. (Statutory cancellation rights, if applicable, are handled under Section I below.)
F) Fitment policy (important)
-
We offer general fitment guidance, but you are solely responsible for verifying fitment for your vehicle and modifications (brakes, suspension, tires, spacers, camber, hub hardware, etc.).
-
Test‑fit before mounting tires. Any cosmetic or clearance issues discovered after mounting (poke/flush, rubbing, caliper clearance, etc.) are not eligible for return.
-
Our guidance is not a guarantee; purchasing acknowledges and accepts this allocation of responsibility.
G) Color & finish variance
-
Minor variance in hue/gloss/metallic depth can occur due to batch and lighting differences. Cosmetic variance that does not affect function is not a defect.
H) Limited Warranty (Original Retail Purchaser)
-
Structural warranty: 3 years against defects in materials/workmanship under normal street use.
-
Finish warranty: 1 year against peeling or lifting under normal street use.
-
Exclusions: Track/competition/off‑road abuse; impacts/bends/cracks; curb damage; chemical/road‑salt corrosion; improper installation/torque; incorrect hardware/spacers; tire stretch/undersized tires; refinishing/modification (incl. powder‑coating); normal wear.
-
Remedy: At our option, repair or replace the product. Warranty does not cover labor (mounting/balancing/alignment), rental, downtime, or incidental costs except where required by law.
Warranty claim shipping
-
Start a claim via the Contact page with photos/video and order or serial number. If a physical inspection is required, we’ll issue an RMA.
-
Inbound to KANE: Customer pays return shipping (pack in original or equivalent packaging).
-
If claim is approved: We ship the repaired/replacement item back by standard ground.
-
If claim is not approved: We can return the item at your expense or dispose of it at your written direction.
I) Order changes & cancellations
-
In‑stock: Cancel before shipment for a full refund. If shipped, treat as a standard return (fees apply).
-
MTO/Custom: 24‑hour grace period from order time for a full refund. After 24 hours (design/production begins), the deposit is non‑refundable; after machining/finishing starts, the entire order is non‑cancellable.
J) Ontario statutory cancellation (internet agreements)
-
If we do not deliver within 30 days of the delivery date in the contract (or within 30 days of purchase if no date was specified), you may have a right to cancel and receive a refund. If you cancel under these rights and we want the goods back, we must pick them up or pay to pick them up. These rights exist independently of this policy.
K) Refund timing
-
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection (your bank/card issuer may take longer).
